How can a haiku take as much time to write as a story? :)
The Fourth Of July
Fireworks stun the sky;
brilliant, ephemeral life,
so sweetly ablaze!

Susan Cameron lives in Fountain Valley, CA. She is a semi-pro dilettante who believes life itself is a Little Bit Everything In Tasty Sauce, and hopes to continue grazing at the buffet table for a long while to come.

She fancies that some day she might actually earn a living with her written words, or if she actually gets in touch with those who have “passed,” she might earn a nice living doing “readings” for people. As a teacher for the last 3 years, she spoke many words and read quite of few of them, but 80 hours a week made her rethink her direction and, you could say, she’s still looking for her calling.
Liz Zuercher lives with her photographer husband, Gary, in San Clemente, CA. In her writing she observes and explores the tidbits of everyday living, because what appears ordinary is often extraordinarily flavorful.

Our blog is a collaborative effort by four writers who have a lot to say about almost everything. We will post our essays, stories, poems, and other writings on a regular basis. Our blog name comes from a Chinese restaurant menu that listed one menu selection as "Little Bit Everything in Tasty Sauce." So we'll offer up a "little bit everything" in our writings like items on a menu--tasty bits, daily specials, appetizers, desserts, and sometimes the dish of the day.

Susan Matthewson lives in Huntington Beach, CA. Her creative career began in first grade during Show and Tell when she informed the class, imaginatively if inaccurately, that her grandfather was an Indian chief, she was an Indian princess, and her real name was Little Fawn. She's been making up stories ever since.

I love the idea of a stunned sky! A lovely ode (I know it's not REALLY an ode it's a Haiku) to fireworks!!! They are awesome!!!
